Meet Mary Lindberg, Columbia Lutheran’s new Chaplain
Mary told us she has always been a “middle” person. Raised in the Midwest, a middle child of five children in a middle class home, she learned how to be a bridge between people with different ideas and values.
Chaplaincy appealed to her early in her career. It gave her a way to help people bridge life’s transitions and stay in touch with their personal sense of spirit. She believes that as we age, our sprit changes too. Late in life we may lose physical capacity but we also develop a richer sense of ourselves, what we believe and what is truly important in life.
Now that Mary is in the middle of life at Columbia, she is excited about this transition in her life and the chance to serve her new community.
